Our Savior’s admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate with any of these in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, or other school programs. Each child is considered on an individual basis. A child is admitted if the school’s program is capable of meeting his needs.
All new families will have a pre admission interview. All incoming elementary students are evaluated on their past performance at other schools, are academically tested, and will, upon satisfactory performance, be admitted as follows:
Priority 1: Siblings of enrolled elementary school students.
Priority 2: Students whose families are active OSLC members.
Priority 3: Siblings of elementary alumni.
Priority 4: Other students who by their behavior, attitude, and performance demonstrate an acceptance of OSLS philosophy.
Admission to kindergarten will be determined by the following:
1.The student must be five years of age by September 1st of the academic year they are
seeking admission into.
2.The student must demonstrate that he/she is developmentally ready as determined by
data compiled from a readiness screening.
3. An interview with the principal.
Tuition is based on an annual fee and is due per your agreement with SMART Tuition. Most families pay tuition by dividing the annual fee into 10 equal payments due each month from August through May of each school year. The August payment will be applied to the last month of school - June 2008. Families may also elect to pay on an annual (1 payment - August) basis, with a 1% discount.
Registration- One-time fee per child per school year & Non-refundable

**May be split up into ten monthly payments
*All field trips are included in the cost of tuition except Sacramento (4th grade) and Catalina (5th grade).
*Families wishing to prepay the entire years tuition will be offered a 1% discount
*Families that qualify for more than one type of discount will be awarded the larger discount.
*Daycare payments may be placed in the “daycare box” in the school office or mailed to our school.
*Tuition payments are non-refundable. In the event of early withdrawal or termination of enrollment, families are contractually obligated to pay the balance of their tuition.
*All accounts (including book, tuition, building and registration, child care fees) must be paid in full for the current term or grade cards and/or transcripts will be withheld.
*If there are special circumstances regarding payment and/or reasons for being late, it is the parent’s responsibility to contact the principal. If payment becomes late, a written notice of delinquency will be sent to you. Any child or children whose tuition payment is more than forty-five days overdue may, at the discretion of the school board, be asked to withdraw from OSLS, unless the parent (s) or guardian within that time, have presented a written payment arrangement to the board which has been accepted.
*If you are going to use morning and/or afternoon daycare on a regular basis, the yearly charge is the most economical and may be broken into ten payments. These payments are due and late on the same schedule as the tuition fees. In addition, any child whose account becomes more than fifteen days delinquent may be denied the use of the extended day care.
*When a family transfers out of Our Savior’s Lutheran School with a balance owing, it is understood as a matter of contract that families, by their attendance at OSLS, waive their right to the forwarding of transcripts to their next school (These rights may have been granted by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act and any/or all other legislative modifications bearing on the transfer of such records upon the request of the school to whom the student is intending to transfer). As this handbook represents the understanding of both parent and school, attendance at school is, therefore, to be viewed as assent to the terms and conditions stated in this document.
