Daycare may not be available on certain days of the school year due to holidays, half- days, or special event schedules. Please refer to the school calendar to find out which dates afternoon and/or morning daycare is affected.
Preschool daycare is limited to 12 children each day after 12:45PM. Priority is given first to the students of parents who have pre-purchased monthly vouchers. Additional children are admitted only if space is available after all monthly voucher holders have been accommodated. Preschool students who stay after 12:45PM should bring their own pillow and blanket. There is no limit to the number of preschool students who stay late from 11:45AM to 12:45PM, known as “Lunch Bunch;” however, this is considered part of daycare, and a $6.00 fee is assessed for this hour. Preschool students who stay for Lunch Bunch need to provide their own lunches.
Time in daycare is assessed on an hourly basis commencing at the scheduled start of daycare and stopping at the end of the hour during which a student is picked up and signed out. Example: An elementary student picked up at 4:00PM is assessed one hour from 3:00PM to 4:00PM. An elementary student picked up at 4:01PM is assessed 2 hours from 3:00PM to 5:00PM, 5:00PM being the end of the second hour in which the student attended while in daycare.
Families with more than one child within the immediate family enrolled at Our Savior's Lutheran School will receive a multiple-child, or “sibling” daycare discount. The first student of any family in attendance at daycare on any day will be assessed the regular fee of $6.00/hour. Any additional students in the first student's immediate family in attendance at daycare on the same day will be assessed the discounted fee of $3.00/hour.
Each student in attendance at daycare who is not picked up at/or before 4:00PM for preschool or 6:00PM for elementary school will be assessed a $15.00 late-pickup fee for every 5 minute segment that he or she is left beyond 4:00PM/6:00PM. If two or more siblings are picked up after 4:00/6:00PM, each of them will be assessed the full $15.00 per each 5 minute segment late-pickup fee individually.
